Vaibhav's Aalambana release date postponed

Directed by debutant Pari K Vijay, the film which is touted to be a fantasy comedy, has Munishkanth playing the role of a Genie

Actor Vaibhav's film Aalambana, which was set to hit screen today, December 15, has been postponed, announced its makers. In a statement released by KJR studios, which is bankrolling the film, the makers said the film's release date has been pushed due to unforeseen circumstances and apologised for the inconvenience caused to the audience.

The statement from KJR Studios read, "KJR Studios regrets to announce the postponement of the theatrical release of our film, Aalambana."

They further added, "Despite our dedicated efforts to ensure the film's timely release, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control have compelled us to announce the unfortunate postponement of the film. As Aalambana caters to children and families, we aim to provide an optimal viewing experience. Therefore, we will reschedule the film's release to a more suitable occasion to offer a more enjoyable experience for our audience."

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to our audience, partners, press, and media. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and continuous support." 

As per reports, the film has been stuck in a legal entanglement. Along with Aalambana, Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan has also been dragged into this issue.

Aalambana has Parvati playing the female lead. The other stars in the cast include Robo Shankar, Kaali Venkat, Murali Sharma, Dindugal I Leoni and Anandraj. Vedalam-fame Kabir Duhan Singh plays the villain. Aalambana was shot in locations like Mysore Palace, Chennai, and Pondicherry. The film which went on floors towards the end of 2019, wrapped up the shoot in 2021.

The film has music by Hip Hop Tamizha, cinematography by Nedunalvaadai-fame Vinoth Ramaswamy, and editing by San Lokesh. It is jointly bankrolled by KJR Studios and Oustubh Entertainments.
