R Madhavan calls Vivek Agnihotri "master storyteller"

On Monday, actor and director Madhavan took to his official Instagram account to pen a note on Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's latest directorial, The Vaccine War. He shared the film's poster and wrote a long review in the caption, in which he called the director a master storyteller.

The note said, "Just saw The Vaccine War and totally blown out of my mind by the spectacular sacrifices and achievements of the Indian scientific community, which made India’s very first vaccine and kept the nation safe during the most challenging period, told by a Master Storyteller Vivek Agnihotri who makes you cheer, applaud, weep, and euphoric, all at the same time."

Further, Madhavan also took some time to appreciate the performances in the film. "Stellar performances by the entire cast, Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen (and every single one of them ) who so beautifully depict the sacrifices and the sheer grit of our Indian scientists (ladies) aptly and impact-fully."

Lastly taking a huge bow at the film he ended the note by saying, "The Indian scientific community owes your debt of gratitude as we to them. See the film in the theatres and make sure to buy a ticket for your superwoman who helped you survive the lockdown. The domestic help and the lovely women." (sic)

Madhavan recently won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards, 2023. His film, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect marked his directorial debut and also featured him as Nambi Narayanan.

Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files also won Best Film on National Integration and Best Supporting Actress at the National Awards. The Vaccine War is all set to hit theatres on September 28.
