Jawan's Kerala and Tamil Nadu distribution rights picked up by Sree Gokulam Movies

Sree Gokulam Movies have bagged the distribution rights of Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Jawan in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It marks the Kerala-based banner's maiden venture in Tamil Nadu. They are collaborating with Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu, while Dream Big Films is the distribution partner in Kerala. As per reports, the rights have been bagged for a record price for a Bollywood film.

About the entry of Sree Gokulam Movies in Tamil Nadu, executive producer Krishnamoorthy said, "Distributing Jawan in Tamil Nadu is part of our expansion to other languages. We feel it is the perfect film to debut within a new market." Recently, the banner released Jailer in Kerala, which is marching towards becoming the highest Tamil grosser in the state. The same banner has also reportedly bagged the Kerala distribution rights of the much-hyped Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj film, Leo.

Jawan, directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, is an action-heavy film also starring Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film, which is backed by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment. It is set for a simultaneous release in multiple languages on September 7.
