Nelson Dilipkumar thanks CM Stalin for watching Jailer 

On Friday, director Nelson took to his official X handle to share a photo of himself with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, and thank him for watching his latest directorial, Jailer. 

He wrote on X, "Thank you u so much honourable Chief Minister Stalin sir for watching Jailer. Thanks for all the appreciation and motivation sir. The cast and crew are really happy with your words." (sic)

Rajinikanth's 169th film, Jailer hit theatres on August 10 and opened to favourable reviews. While Rajinikanth essays the lead titular role as jailer Muthuvel Pandian, the film also features Shivrajkumar, Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff joining forces with Rajinikanth, for a limited time onscreen.

Jailer is a dark comedy action drama. The film follows a cat-and-mouse chase between Muthuvel Pandian and Vinayakan’s Varman who is an idol smuggler. The film also features Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah, Yogi Babu, among others.
