Vijay Sri G: Charu Haasan plays a don who does good for society in Haraa

Earlier, we reported that director Vijay Sri G is all set to direct Mohan in his next film, Haraa. The film also stars the 93-year-old actor Charu Haasan in an important role. It is to be noted that Vijay's Dha Dha 87 (2019) starred Charu Haasan in the lead.

According to an official press note, Vijay Sri G said, "t is doubtful whether there is an actor who acts with such enthusiasm at the age of 93. Charuhaasan has played a very important role in Haraa."

Shedding more light on the role the nonagenarian plays, he said, "It's normal to think of a don with negative shades. But in this film, Charuhaasan plays the role of a don who does good for society. He performed his scenes with great energy without any fatigue or delay. Many thanks to him and his family members including his daughter Ms Suhasini Mani Ratnam."

Mohan, who was last seen in Sutta Kozhi in 2008, had taken a sabbatical from the Tamil film industry for the past 15 years. Haraa also stars Suresh Menon as the antagonist and Vanitha Vijayakumar, as a Minister. Kushbhu, Yogi Babu, Rajendran, Singam Puli, Deepa, Mime Gopi, Chaams, and Santhosh Prabhakar round out the cast of Haraa.

Backed by S P Mohan Raj and Jaya Sri Vijay, the core idea of the film is to create awareness about IPC rules, and other concepts like good touch, bad touch, etc. amongst children.
