Release of Rudhran postponed due to legal hurdles?

Raghava Lawrence, who is currently busy with projects including Chandramukhi 2 and Jigarthanda Double X, is awaiting the release of Rudhran. The film is expected to release on Friday in theatres. However, just ahead of the release, various reports state that the Madras High Court has ordered a stay on the release of the film.

As per reports, a case has been filed by Revenza Global Ventures Private Limited with whom Rudhran production banner, Five Star Creations, had signed an agreement in 2021 to acquire the dubbing rights of the film in Hindi and other north Indian languages for the purpose of streaming and satellite rights. However, after some financial transactions, the makers of Rudhran terminated the contract, asking for more amount. This has led to Revenza to initiate court proceedings, and moved the court to order a stay on the film.

However, when CE reached to the publicity managers of the film, they responded that the film will release as planned on Friday. An official announcement on the issue is yet to be announced.

Rudhran is directed by Kathiresan and is billed to be an action thriller. Rudhran features actor Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Poornima Bhagyaraj and Nasser are also part of the cast. GV Prakash composed the music for the film.  Sarath Kumar plays the antagonist. GV Prakash composed the music for the film.  The film is shot by cinematographer RD Rajasekar ISC and edited by Anthony. Rudhran will also release in Kannada and Malayalam.
