First single releases for Arjun Das-Dushara Vijayan starrer Aneethi

The first official single for Aneethi titled Thikatta Thikatta Kadhalippom has been released online. The film is directed by Vasanthabalan who is best known for critically acclaimed films like Veyil and Angadi Theru. Aneethi stars Kaithi fame, Arjun Das, in the lead while Dushara Vijayan, hot on the heels of Natchathiram Nagargirathu’s success, is playing the female lead in the film.

Apart from composing the music for the film, GV Prakash Kumar has also sung the song along with Yamini Ghantasala. Nakul Abhyankar and Ramya Bhat have lent additional vocals for the song. The lyrics for the song have been written by the late Na Muthukumar, who had previously collaborated with GV Prakash and Vasanthabalan on several projects which went on to become hits. The makers of the film have released the song on social media with the hashtag #rememberingNaMuthukumar to honour the lyricist.

The cast of the film also includes Vanitha Vijaykumar, Bharani, Suresh Chakravarthi, Pugazh, Aranthangi Nisha, Kaali Venkat, Sarah, Arjun Chidambaram, Subramaniam Siva, J Sathish Kumar, and T Siva. The director is also co-producing the film under his banner Urban Boyz Studios. With the filming wrapped up in May, the makers of the film are expected to announce a release date soon.
