Vijay-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Master to release in Japan?

Reports state that the Vijay starrer Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is set to release in Japan. Although there has been no official word from the makers on the development, IANS reports that the Japan version of the film is titled Sensei and will be releasing in the East Asian country on November 18.

Incidentally, a dubbed version of Karthi's Kaithi, also directed by Lokesh, was released in Japan last year. If the speculations about Master's release are proven true, it will mark Lokesh's second Japanese dub release.

Rumours about Master's Japan release emerge at a time when SS Rajamouli's RRR is performing remarkably well in the country, becoming the highest-grossing foreign film, beating the likes of The Bad Guys and Jurrasic World Dominion.

And Tamil cinema itself is no stranger to the audience of Japan, with Rajinikanth's Muthu (1995) still remaining the highest grossing Indian film in the country.

On the other hand, Lokesh and Vijay are set to reunite for Thalapathy 67, which is expected to go on floors once the actor finishes his work on Varisu.
