The title of Hansika's next directed by Koogle Kuttappan director duo Sabari-Guru Saravanan has been revealed as Guardian. The first look poster, which was released by Vijay Sethupathi, features the Bogan actor in a vampire-like avatar with blood dripping from her mouth. Her eyes show a reflection of a small girl standing opposite her.

Going by the title of the film and the first look poster, the film is expected to be a story of a guardian ghost saving a girl from all dangers surrounding her. The film has music by Sam CS and cinematography by KA Shaktivel. Apart from directing the project, Guru Saravanan has written it. Director Vijay Chandar is producing Guardian under his banner. It may be noted that Hansika played the heroine in Vijay Chandar's debut Vaalu, co-starring Simbu.

Hansika was last seen in the revenge thriller Maha, which received underwhelming responses from everywhere. Apart from Guardian, Hansika has one more horror film in the pipeline directed by R Kannan. She also has a film with Igore, Rowdy Baby, 105 Minutes and My name is Shruti in the lineup.

Hansika will be making her digital debut with My3, directed by Rajesh for Disney + Hotstar. The actor is said to be playing a robot in the webseries that co-stars Mugen Rao, Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj, Janani Iyer, Ashna Zaveri and Subbu Panchu. She also has Nasha in Telugu.
