Vijay's Varisu team release Deepavali special poster

Varisu gears up for a Pongal 2023 release

Published: 24th October 2022

On the occasion of Deepavali, the makers of Vijay-starrer Varisu have released a special poster. The poster has Vijay holding a hammer with a bunch of goons lying around him. Unlike the earlier released ones, it's a 'massy' poster hinting an action treat for the fans.

Directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu is a family-based mass entertainer. It is scripted by Hari and Ahishor Solomon. Rashmika Mandanna is paired with Vijay in the film. Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Khusbhu, Sangeetha, Shaam and Jayasudha essay other prominent roles.

Thaman is composing music for Varisu. It marks his first time collaboration with Vijay. Karthik Palani is the cinematographer and edits are handled by Praveen KL. The film produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations is currently in its final stages of the shoot.

The makers have confirmed Varisu as a Pongal, 2023 release, though an exact date is not yet out. It will also be released in Telugu as Vaarasudu.
