Published: 24th October 2022

We had previously reported that actors Vasanth Ravi of Rocky fame and Sathyaraj are teaming up for a film titled Weapon. It's now known that director Rajiv Menon, known for films like Minsara Kanavu and Kandukondain Kandukondain, is acting in Weapon

The makers took to social media where they shared the news and captioned it, "We are honoured to welcome the master creator Rajiv Menon on board Weapon." The poster shared by the makers features the ace director in a green suit holding onto a greenlit ball.

The director, who had previously starred in the 1998 Malayalam film Harikrishnans, has done an uncredited role in his own film Minsara Kanavu. Weapon will mark his first credited role in a Tamil film.

Directed by Guhan Senniappan who had previously helmed Sawaari and Amazon Prime Video's first Tamil web series, Vella Raja, Weapon is an action thriller that will go on floors from mid-November. Produced by MS Manzoor of Million Studio, Weapon will be shot in Chennai and hill stations. Ghibran is composing the music for this movie, and Prabhu Rhagav is handling the cinematography.
