Jayam Ravi tests positive for Covid-19

Actor Jayam Ravi has tested positive for Covid-19.  On Friday, the actor took to Twitter to announce the same. He wrote, "Earlier this evening I tested positive for Covid-19. Following all protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested if necessary. Mask up. Stay safe! God bless."

And his fans, well-wishers and colleagues have been wishing the actor a speedy recovery.

Jayam Ravi was basking in the glory of the success of his latest outing Ponniyin Selvan also known as Arunmozhivarman. He played the titular role and received much appreciation for his performance. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film marks the first collaboration of the actor and filmmaker duo. The historical drama is a two-part film based on the epic book of the same name, authored by Kalki. Ponniyin Selvan was released on September 30 and is still running successfully in the theatres. The film has minted over 450 crores at the worldwide box office. The second part is expected to release in 2023 summer.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi has a slew of projects in the pipeline, including Agilan, directed by Kalyana Krishnan, Iraivan, directed by I Ahmed, and an untitled film with M Rajesh.
