It was earlier announced that director Vijay will be creating a series for ZEE5 as part of its new content slate announced earlier this year. The streaming platform, on Monday, revealed that the series titled Five Six Seven Eight will premiere on November 18.

The makers released a poster of the series, which suggests that it will be based against the backdrop of dance. It is directed by Vijay, Prasanna JK, and Mrudhula Sridharan, and backed by AL Alagappan and Hitesh Thakkur. The series stars Lakshmi-fame Ditya Bhande and actor-choreographer-filmmaker Nagendra Prasad in pivotal roles.

The series highlights the journey of young and talented teenagers, who come from humble backgrounds but have a passion for dancing. Even though they lack professional training, they are determined to chase their dreams, and the series highlights their journey when a new member joins them.

Sam CS is composing the music for Five Six Seven Eight, which is the first web series to be helmed by Vijay. The director has previously written and produced the film, Chithirai Sevvanam, for the streaming platform.
