Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, Connect marks his reunion with Nayanthara after Maya (2015), which was also a horror thriller. Set during the pandemic-induced nationwide lockdown period, Connect is scripted by Ashwin and his partner Kaavya Ramkumar. They had co-written the director's 2019 film Game Over as well.
Connect also stars Anupam Kher, Vinay Rai, Sathyaraj, and child actor Haniya Nafisa in pivotal roles. The film has music by Prithvi Chandrasekhar and cinematography by Manikantan Ramachary. Richard Kevin is the editor. It is produced by Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures.
