Vijay's much-awaited film, Varisu, is a project that has the potential to be the next Tamil film to break down the linguistic boundaries in the South. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film will be released in Telugu as Vaarasudu.

With music by Thaman, the first single from the film, Ranjithame, is already ruling the airwaves, with its lyric video clocking millions of views, and breaking records along the way.

In a heartening update from Team Vaarasudu, senior lyricist Ramjogaiah Sastry took to social media to announce that he was penning all the songs for the Telugu version of Varisu.

He wrote, "Varisu Telugu is my next full album and I'll give my 200 per cent. Wait for the album, such a passionate director Vamshi garu is. I'm sure it will be a feast with thamudu Thaman's hard-hitting music. Trust me, I listened to a few of the tracks."

With such optimism from the team, fans are elated about this update, and are hoping for a blockbuster opening for the film when it hits the screens this Pongal.

Varisu will be part of an interesting clash at the box-office not just in the Tamil version, but the Telugu version too, with films like Ajith Kumar's Thunivu, Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya, and Nandamuri Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy releasing on the festive weekend.
