We had recently reported about team Varisu shooting for a dance number in Bellary under the choreography of Jani master. It is now said that actor Silambarasan has lent his vocals to the song. If it turns out to be true, this is the first time he is singing for a Vijay-starrer.

Varisu has music by S Thaman, with whom Silambarasan has collaborated in multiple films. Kattu Vazhi (Mambattiyan), Pondati (Osthe), Mangalyam (Easwaran) are some of their most popular songs.

Meanwhile, Ranjithame, the first single from Varisu continues to rule the music charts. Sung by Vijay and MM Manasi, it is also a peppy dance number with lyrics by Vivek. Jani master choreographed that song as well.

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. It has an elaborate supporting cast that includes Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Sangeetha, and Samyuktha.

Backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema, the film is eyeing a grand Pongal release in January. It is also set to be released in Telugu as Vaarasudu.
