First look of Karthi's Japan to release on this date 

The upcoming film is directed by Raju Murugan

The first look poster of Japan, starring actor Karthi in the lead role, is set to drop on Monday, the makers informed. The upcoming film will mark Karthi's 25th outing as an actor.

A teasing poster of the first look is tinted in gold, and is a close-up of a man's chest, which sports a chunky and circular golden pendant that as a rupee and star symbol on it.

The upcoming film is directed by Raju Murugan, who previously helmed Joker. Dream Warrior Pictures, which produced Joker, is bankrolling Japan as well. The banner has backed Karthi’s previous films like Saguni, Kashmora, Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Kaithi and Sultan.

Japan was launched recently and will have Anu Emmanuel as the female lead. Actor Sunil, who predominantly works in Telugu films, will also be part of Japan's cast, along with cinematographer-director Vijay Milton.

The technical crew of Japan includes GV Prakash Kumar as the music composer and Philomin Raj on the edit. Vinesh Banglan is the production designer. The first schedule of shooting will begin soon.
