RJ Balaji's next directed by Gokul titled Singapore Saloon, first look out

The title and first look of RJ Balaji's next directed by Gokul were revealed today during the India VS England T20 World Cup semi-final match. Titled Singapore Saloon, the film features Balaji as a hairdresser. The reveal was made at the Tamil commentary box of Star Sports. Interestingly, director Lokesh Kanagaraj joined the RJ-actor for the session.

The poster features Balaji sporting a thick beard, tie and a hairdresser apron. The film is produced by Vels Film International, which previously bankrolled Balaji's LKG and Mookuthi Amman. Singapore Saloon is expected to hit the screens in Summer 2022.

Shivani Rajasekar, who made her debut with Hip-hop Tamizha's Anbarivu, is said to be playing the female lead in the film.

Rumours state that Gokul, who was supposed to shoot Corona Kumar with Silambarasan TR, has dropped the project due to undisclosed reasons.

RJ Balaji, who returned to direction with Veetla Visesham this year, is yet to make an announcement about his other projects.
