Karthik Subbaraj to present Vijay Sethupathi-Ponram film

Karthik, who has collaborated with Vijay Sethupathi in several films, took to social media to announce the news

We had earlier reported about Vijay Sethupathi teaming up with director Ponram for a film that's tentatively titled VJS 46. The makers are planning to unveil its title and first look on Thursday. Meanwhile, it has also been learnt that director Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Films will present VJS 46. Karthik, who has collaborated with Vijay Sethupathi in several films, took to social media to announce the news.

Billed as an action-entertainer,  VJS 46 stars Vijay Sethupathi as a cop. Along with the announcement of the update, the makers shared a photo that features the actor in a silhouette inside a police station. We see a cap, lathi, and a name board that reads M Vascodagama, Superintendent (or Deputy Superintendent) of Police. Former Miss India World Anukreety Vas will be seen as the female lead in the film. Cooku with Comali-fame Pugazh is also there in a prominent role.

VJS 46 has music by D Imman, while Dinesh Krishnan and Vivek Harshan are in charge of cinematography and editing, respectively.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi, who was last seen in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal, has a long lineup of films including Michael, Viduthalai and Hindi films Merry Christmas, Mumbaikar and Jawan.
