With Dhanush-Vetri Maaran's first collaboration, Polladhavan, turning 15 recently, we reported about the reunion event that was held to celebrate the milestone. The film, which kickstarted the career of Vetri Maaran, and cemented Dhanush's stardom, also starred actors Divya Spandana, Murali, Kishore, Daniel Balaji, Karunaas, and Santhanam among others.

It also had a then 19-year-old GV Prakash making quite the mark with his music and background score.

Although Divya went on to make many films in Tamil and Kannada, and had an extended stint as a politician, she is fondly remembered in Tamil cinema for her work in Polladhavan.

Penning a heartfelt note on social media, Divya wrote, "Polladhavan 15 years to the date! I had auditioned for Varanam Aayiram with Suriya and Gautham Menon happened to show the small scene that we shot together to Dhanush and he suggested me to Vetri sir who was making his directorial debut with Polladhavan. Neither Vetri sir Dhanush or I had met or interacted before. I heard the script over the phone and I loved the idea about a 'guy, his bike, and his girl' I got to know later that I was the 15th heroine.

It was on the sets of Polladhavan that Dhanush and I develpoed a close bond and we stand together 15 years later... through thick and thin. Thank you D for always being there! Thank you Vetri sir. I had a wonderful time shooting and catching up yesterday on all the good memories. GV Prakash... the best BGM ever! GV was 19 at that time! Beat that (No pun intended)... Look forward to Polladhavan 2..."

After Polladhavan, Vetri Maaran and Dhanush have gone on to work in some of Tamil cinema's most important films like Vada Chennai, Aadukalam, and Asuran.
