Vijay Sethupathi-Vadivelu's film to go on floors in January 2023?

The film is billed as a full-fledged comedy

We earlier reported that Vadivelu and Vijay Sethupathi are teaming up for an upcoming film. While Vadivelu confirmed their collaboration, it is speculated that P Arumugakumar will be directing the film.

He previously directed Oru Nalla Laal Paathu Solren and produced the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Laabam. Now the latest update is that the film will go on floors in January 2023. The shooting is said to happen in Malaysia. The reports also suggest that the yet-to-be-titled film's pre-production is underway and the remaining cast and crew will be finalised by the end of this month.

Meanwhile, rumours are going rounds that Arumugakumar will be producing a film starring Mammootty and Vijay Sethupathi, directed by Manikandan. 

Vijay Sethupathi, last seen in 19(1)(a), has a handful of projects lined up including Michael, Merry Christmas, Viduthalai, Mumbaikar and Jawan. On the other hand, Vadivel awaiting the release of Naai Sekar Returns, Mari Selvaraj's Maamannan and is currently shooting for Chandramukhi 2.
