As the Dhanush-starrer Polladhavan completed 15 years recently, the cast and crew of the film reunited to celebrate the milestone. The film which marked Vetrimaran's debut featured Divya Spandana as a female lead. Polladhavan's music was composed by GV Prakash Kumar and all four of them were present at the celebratory event. Divya Spandana shared a series of pictures from the celebration on her social media handles and wrote, "Polladhavan 15 years to the date and thanks to the film I met my longest standing friend Dhanush (he suggested me for the film) through thick & thin Vetri sir it was a pleasure, I learnt so much from you. GV Prakash best BGM  look forward to Polladhavan 2."

Quote-tweeting this, Dhanush noted that he loved catching up with the Polladhavan team and some of his best friends. "15 years of polladhavan. A film that defined so many things for me  Balumahendra sir .. thank you," he wrote.

The action-thriller film was released on November 8, 2007. It revolves around Prabhu (Dhanush), who is disappointed after he finds out that his bike has been stolen. He decides to chase down the thieves but gets into trouble when he learns that his bike was used to smuggle drugs.
