Manoj Bharathi to play the antagonist in Paandiya Vamsam

Actor Manoj Bharathi, who was last seen in Karthi's Viruman, will be playing the prime antagonist in the upcoming action drama Paandiya Vamsam, written and directed by A Sivaprakash, who also plays the male lead in the film. 

Paandiya Vamsam is said to be based on village politics and carries a strong social message. The film stars Rashitha and Aliya Hyatt as the female leads. 

Apart from them, the film stars actors like Vijaykumar, Bose Venkat and Sarvanan Shakthi in important roles. 

Paandiya Vamsam has music by Srikanth Deva and cinematography by Kannadasan Chezhian. 

It was announced a while ago that Manoj would be making his directorial debut under Ravinder Chandrasekar's Libra Productions. But, the makers are yet to announce the cast, crew and status of the project.

Manoj Bharathi who made his grand directorial debut in Taj Mahal, directed by Bharathiraja and written by Mani Ratnam, recently revealed his disinterest towards acting in his initial days. He attempted to launch a remake of Sivappu Rojakkal with leading stars, but, the project was delayed due to multiple reasons.
