With just weeks left for the release of Thunivu, H Vinoth's third straight film with actor Ajith Kumar, speculations about the filmmaker's next are rife.

It is said that Vinoth will soon direct Kamal Haasan, who is on a box-office high after the stupendous success of his own production, Vikram, which was helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This project is expected to go on floors once Kamal Haasan has completed filming for Indian 2.

Vinoth, who made his debut with the sleeper hit, Sathuranga Vettai, made the compelling Karthi-starrer Theeran: Adhigaaram Ondru for his sophomore effort. Since then, the filmmaker has collaborated with Ajith in back-to-back projects like Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is working with Shankar for the much-awaited sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian and is working with Mahesh Narayanan on a project.

Apart from his acting assignments, and his stint in reality TV courtesy Bigg Boss Tamil, Kamal Haasan is also producing films under his RKFI banner. While he is backing Sivakarthikeyan's next with Rajkumar Periyasamy, the actor-filmmaker is also making a film with fellow actor-filmmaker Udhayanidhi Stalin.
