Today marks one year of Jai Bhim's release. Written and directed by TJ Gnanavel, the film was produced by Suriya and Jyotika under their home banner, 2D Entertainment. Along with Suriya, the film also stars Lijomol Jose and Manikandan.

The film which was directly released on Amazon Prime Video opened to positive responses and was critically acclaimed. Marking the one-year milestone, the production house shared a glimpse of the film on Twitter and wrote, "Celebrating the victory of Justice." Quote-tweeting it, Suriya wrote, "Happy to celebrate one year of #JaiBhim. From script to execution this film kept getting stronger & stronger. I thank my brother Gnanavel & Team for giving us this most meaningful film. Lawyer Chandru is a landmark role in my career!"

The actor-producer also extended gratitude to his 'Anbaana fans' and noted that their love and respect mean everything to them. Inspired by real-life landmark cases, the film sheds light on the custodial torture that Rajakannu, a man from the Irula tribe, is subjected to discrimination based on caste. Meanwhile, Jai Bhim is one of the 25 feature films that will be screened at this year's Indian Panorama of the International Film Festival of India.
