We had earlier reported about Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara teaming up for Endrendrum Punnagai director I Ahmed's next, Iraivan. The film's shoot has been wrapped up. Billed as a commercial mass entertainer, it reportedly stars Jayam Ravi as a cop. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for the film.

Iraivan is the second collaboration of Jayam Ravi and Ahmed after Jana Gana Mana, a big-budget spy thriller which is yet to be completed. The film's shoot got stalled halfway due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. It also stars Taapsee, Dayana Erappa, Arjun, Rahman, MS Bhaskar, and Sacred Games-fame Elnaaz Norouzi. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer for Jana Gana Mana as well.

Jayam Ravi, last seen in the blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: I, has Kalyana Krishnan's Agilan, and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren coming up. Meanwhile, Nayanthara will next be seen in Ashwin Saravanan's horror-thriller Connect. She is also making her Bollywood debut with the Atlee-directorial Jawan opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
