The first look poster of Gatta Kusthi, the upcoming film starring actor Vishnu Vishal, will release on Wednesday, the makers said.

Billed to be a sports drama that is set in a rural backdrop, Vishnu plays the role of a Kusthi player in the film. Gatta Kusthi is written and directed by Chella Ayyavu. The film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual, which will be a joint production venture of Vishnu Vishal's Vishnuu Vishal Studioz and Telugu star Ravi Teja's RT Team Works. In Telugu, the film will release as Matti Kusthi.

Gatta Kusthi is the third sports film for Vishnu, who made his debut with Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009). His 2014 film, Jeeva, dealt with the issues and politics surrounding the game of cricket. The film features Aishwarya Lekshmi as the female lead. However, it is not sure of Ravi Teja will also have a role to play onscreen. The core technical crew includes music director Justin Prabhakaran, cinematographer Richard M Nathan, and editor Prasanna.

Meanwhile, Vishnu Vishal was last seen in FIR. The actor also has Mohandas in the making.
