Beast release date out: Vijay-Nelson film to clash with KGF at box office

The release date of Beast was announced on Tuesday, and Nelson directorial starring Vijay is making its way to the big screens on April 13. Also starring Pooja Hegde opposite Vijay, this is one of the most anticipated releases of the year.

The makers of Beast have done an excellent job in promoting their film, increasing the hype around it with fun single releases. The promos, such as the one featuring director Nelson, music composer Anirudh, and lyricist of Arabic Kuthu, Sivakarthikeyan, went viral upon release. 

By choosing to release the film during Tamil New Year weekend, the filmmakers have pitted the Vijay-starrer with other big-ticket films such as KGF: Chapter 2. This is the sequel to the much-celebrated KGF: Chapter 1, directed by Prashant Neel starring Yash in the lead role. The film, also starring Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, is slated to release a day after Beast -- April 14.
