Putting an end to the release date confusion, the makers of Sivakarthikeyan's next, Don, announced that the release date of the Cibi Chakravarthy directorial will be rescheduled. The film, which was first set to hit the screens on March 25 will now release a few weeks later on May 13.

Don is a joint production between Sivakarthikeyan's home banner, Sivakarthikeyan Productions, and Lyca Productions. Since Lyca's much-anticipated SS Rajamouli actioner, RRR, starring NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, picked March 25 as its prospective release date, Sivakarthikeyan decided to change the release date of his film to avoid a potential box office clash.

In a statement, Lyca Productions said, "We would like to thank Mr Sivakarthikeyan for this humble gesture in helping us postpone the release date of Don, as the previously planned release date coincided with the release date of RRR (March 25), and both the films are our esteemed projects.

Dear fans and movie lovers, we are pushing the release date of Don to May 13. We hope you shower us with the same excitement and love as you always show us."

Don has Priyanka Mohan, who was recently paired with Siva in Doctor, playing the female lead. The film also features SJ Suryah, Samuthirakani, Soori, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, and Cooku with Comali-fame Sivaangi.

The film has music by Anirudh Ravichandar, who has previously collaborated with Sivakarthikeyan on films like Ethir NeechalMaan KarateRemo, and more recently in Doctor. Notably, the first single from the film, Jalabulajangu, was well-received by the audience.

Don is jointly produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions and Lyca Productions.
