Kamal Haasan shoots at Chennai's iconic theatre for Vikram

A particular sequence in Vikram was shot at Chennai’s famous Vettri theatres

After finishing his commitments for the recently concluded Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5, Kamal Haasan has rejoined the shooting for Vikram, his upcoming film with Lokesh Kanagaraj.

A particular sequence in the film, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil, was shot at Chennai’s famous Vettri theatres. Rakesh Gowthaman, the proprietor of Vettri theatres, shared the news on social media, and said, “It’s a great honour and a moment of pride that Kamal Haasan ji happened to step in Vettri premises today for Vikram shooting. The last time he came here was for the 100 days celebration of Kalyana Raman in 1979.”

Rakesh also shared an image from the felicitation ceremony that featured Vettri theatres' then proprietor R Krishnan and Kamal Haasan, and added, “Big thanks to director Lokesh Kanagaraj bro for choosing us.” The Kamal Haasan-autographed photo has since gone viral on social media.
