Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is gearing up for theatrical release on April 28. The film is eagerly awaited by many, particularly for its cast. Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, and Nayanthara play the lead roles in the film. The promos featuring the three actors have garnered excellent response so far.

Last day, Samantha had an interaction session with her followers on Instagram where she was asked about her expectations on the film and her experience working with Nayanthara. For the latter, Samantha replied by posting an adorable video of a candid moment with Nayanthara while watching the film's rushes in a preview theatre. Samantha also wrote that Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal will be Nayanthara's best work yet.

When asked about Vignesh Shivan, Samantha said that the director has put his heart and soul into the film and added thats she is praying for the film to turn out to be a big success for him. While the two other two leads, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara have previously worked with Vignesh Shivan, this is Samantha's first outing with the filmmaker.

Billed as a triangular love story, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal has Vijay Sethupathi playing a character named Rambo. Samantha and Nayanthara essay characters named Khatija and Kanmani, respectively.

Lalit Kumar and Rowdy Pictures are jointly producing the film, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay Kartik Kannan and SR Kathir ISC serve as the cinematographers while Sreekar Prasad edits the film.
