Vadhandhi- The Fable of Velonie marks SJ Suryah's debut in the OTT space. A noir crime thriller, this series is backed by Pushkar and Gayatri and is directed by Andrew Louis. It revolves around a determined cop Vivek (Suryah) who finds himself fixated on solving the murder of an 18-year-old Velonie, whose murder is riddled with a lot of rumours.
Monster – Disney+ Hotstar (December 2)
Starring Mohanlal in the lead role, this Malayalam film is directed by Vysakh and also features Honey Rose, Lakshmi Manchu, Lena. Monster revolves around entrepreneur Lucky Singh who comes to Kerala from Punjab for a land deal. However due to circumstances, he ends up in his chauffeur's home that creates unfortunate circumstances.
Freddy - Disney+ Hotstar (December 2)
Freddy is a Hindi film starring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role. The romantic thriller is directed by Shashanka Ghosh. While Kartik plays a dentist in the film, Alaya F plays the female lead.
Qala – Netflix (December 2)
The psychological drama set in the musical world of the late 1930s.Directed by Anvitaa Dutt of Bulbbul fame, Qala is the story of an eponymous young playback singer (played by Triptii Dimri) whose tragic past catches up with her, causing her to unravel at the peak of her hard-won success. But the beginning and end of her spiral is her relationship with her mother.
India Lockdown – ZEE5 (December 2)
Madhur Bhandarkar's India Lockdown is written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah with Madhur. The film highlights four parallel stories set during the Covid-19 pandemic. Its cast includes Shweta Basu Prasad, Aahana Kumra, Prateik Babbar, Sai Tamhankar and Prakash Balewadi, and Hrishitaa Bhatt in a cameo.
Love Today - Netflix (December 2)
This Tamil film directed and starring Pradeep Ranganathan is about a couple who is made to exchange phones after they are caught by the girl’s father. As they get to know more about their partner through their phones, the film follows if they will remain together.
