Plan Panni Pannanum will hit screens this month, says director Badri Venkatesh

There has been uncertainty about when Plan Panni Pannanum, the long-delayed comedy-entertainer starring Rio Raj and Ramya Nambessan, will hit screens. Now, director Badri Venkatesh has said that he is hopeful that the film will see the light this month.

Like many other films, the release of Plan Panni Pannanum was affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was eventually set for a release on 24 September this year. However, due to last-minute complications, the film's release was postponed indefinitely.

Director Badri said that such delays are indeed painful to creators. "Releasing a film is like giving birth. However, we are professionals and so we have to move on."

"There was some issue with the planning and that is nothing wrong, especially during a pandemic. I will be grateful if the audience extends their support to the film," added the director.

The director said that he is satisfied with how the film has come out. "Plan Panni Pannanum is like popcorn - it's made to entertain the audience, and I am sure that the film will do very well when it releases. In fact, we had a screening with the Bigg Boss 4 contestants and they loved the film. So, whoever has seen the film has loved the film and that gives me a lot of satisfaction." A specific release date is yet to be known.

Produced by Positive Print Studios, Plan Panni Pannanum has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The film also stars Bala Saravanan, Robo Shankar and Munishkanth in key roles. MS Bhaskar, Santhana Bharathi, Rekha, Marimuthu, Viji Chandrashekar, Robo Shankar, and Aadukalam Narain are also a part of the cast.
