We reported last year that director Ezhil, known for films like Thullatha Manamum Thullum and Poovellam Un Vaasam, would be teaming up with Parthiban and Gautham Karthik for his next. It is now known that the film is titled Yutha Satham. The film's first look was released earlier today featuring the two lead actors.

Speaking about the film, Ezhil says, "I'm happy to do a different film after all these years. Comedy has been my go-to genre but this time, I'm venturing into murder mystery with Parthiban sir and Gautham Karthik. Based on a novel of the same name by Rajesh Kumar, right from the making, Yutha Satham has been a different experience." The writer has apparently congratulated the director for adapting his story without changing the essence of it.

Interestingly, Ezhil had previously assisted Parthiban. "It was a different experience to direct Parthiban sir. He taught me a lot and it was nice to learn once again from him. Gautham Karthik has also done a good job. As a fan of edge-of-the-seat thrillers, I want my first film in such a genre to be intriguing and I was keen on starting it off with the first look itself," adds Ezhil.

Yutha Satham stars debutant Saipriya as the female lead and the film also features Robo Shankar, Kamaraj, Madhu Sree, Manobala, Chaams, Vaiyapuri, and Kumki Ashwin. With music by Imman, the film's cinematography is handled by RB Gurudev.
