Maaveeran, the recently released Tamil film starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, has collected Rs 75 crore at the box office, the makers of the film announced on social media. The film, directed by Madonne Ashwin, is backed by Shanthi Talkies.
The film released in Telugu as Mahaveerudu.
Marking his second directorial after Mandela, Madonne Ashwin’s Maaveeran is a fantasy action drama featuring Sivakarthikeyan as a timid cartoonist who sketches a story of a superhero. As he gets embroiled in circumstances, he gets the power of listening to a voice that only he can hear. Maaveeran follows how the cartoonist uses the voice to his advantage to overcome his obstacles.
It also stars Aditi Shankar, Myssin, Saritha, Yogi Babu, Monisha Blessy, Sunil, among others. Actor Vijay Sethupathi lent his voice.
With cinematography by Vidhu Ayyanna, Maaveeran has music by Bharath Shankar and editing by Philomin Raj.
