Venkat Prabhu: Maanaadu is even bigger than Mankatha

In the Maanaadu Meherezylaa Space, director Venkat Prabhu revealed that the Simbu film is the biggest film of his career in terms of production value

Meherezylaa, the first single of Silambarasan TR's upcoming film, Maanaadu, released earlier today. Team Maanaadu took to Twitter spaces to launch the song in the Maanaadu Meherezylaa Space.

During this session, Venkat Prabhu spoke about how Maanaadu will be novel to Tamil cinema. "Maanaadu will be a completely new genre for Tamil audiences. We have ensured that it will also be something people can wrap their heads around. Maanaadu will fulfill the audience's expectations and also surpass them," said Venkat, adding, "I have tried something new with Silambarasan TR. I must actually thank STR for accepting this experimental screenplay." 

Venkat also revealed that the production costs of Maanaadu make it the biggest film of his career. "It is even bigger than Mankatha," shared Venkat. 

The session was attended by actors Silambarasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Venkat Prabhu, lyricist Madhan Karky, Premgi Amaren, and producer Suresh Kamatchi. 

A political thriller, Maanaadu, also stars Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran, and Premgi Amaren.
