Rahul Ravindran: I am happy that Telugu cinema made it big in National Awards

Rahul Ravindran, who won the National Award for the Best Original Screenplay for his debut film Chi La Sow, is a happy man, as his second film Manmadhudu 2, starring Nagarjuna and Rakul Preet also hit the screens yesterday.

"Chi La Sow is a very small film. We sent it to the National Awards months ago, and to be honest, we forgot that we had applied for it. It feels so special as the announcement was made on the day of my second film's release. I feel so emotional," he said.

The actor-turned-filmmaker also shared that he is extremely happy about the achievements of Telugu cinema at the National Awards. "I am delighted that the Telugu industry has bagged big awards. I would like to congratulate all the winners. Coming back to Chi La So, I couldn't have made this film, without the support of my parents, producer and my lead actors Sushanth and Ruhani."
