Adivi Sesh on Thursday shared an update on his upcoming pan-India film Dacoit, announcing that a key shooting schedule will commence on June 8. “Dubbing Test #DACOIT. Back to shoot from the day after tomorrow. Lots to do!” the actor posted on social media, along with a photo from the dubbing studio. The actor is playing a rural character for the first time in his career, and it is reported that Sesh speaks a Madanapalle dialect in the thriller.
Dacoit, directed by debutant Shaneil Deo, is billed as a romantic action thriller set against themes of betrayal, love, and vengeance. It stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead, with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, debuting in Telugu while playing a fierce police officer.
A teaser titled “Fire Glimpse" was released recently, offering a first look into the intense narrative. The glimpse featured twisted emotional moments, action sequences, and a dramatic escape scene involving Sesh escaping a prisoner van.
Dacoit is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda and co-produced by Sunil Narang under Annapurna Studios. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo. The film has been simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi and is slated for a pan-India release in five languages. It is scheduled to hit theatres on December 25.
