Arjun to play the antagonist in Mahesh Babu's Sarkaru Vaari Paata

Arjun is expected to join the shoot in July

Actor Arjun Sarja, who was last seen in Naa Peru Surya, Naa Illu India (2018), has been roped in to play a pivotal role in Mahesh Babu's upcoming film Sarkaru Vaari Paata. According to a well-placed source, Arjun will be locking horns with Mahesh Babu as the antagonist of the film.

"Arjun has carved a niche for his acting prowess in Telugu cinema. The makers felt that his versatility would add value addition to the film. He has agreed in principle and will be signing the dotted line soon," says a source close to the development.

Arjun is expected to join the shoot in July. "The team is all geared up to resume the shooting in July. The makers have ensured that all the members who are eligible are vaccinated, and are working on the new schedule. Some important scenes involving Mahesh and Arjun among others would be filmed in this schedule that will commence in a specially-erected set in the city," the source adds.

Directed by Parasuram, Sarkaru Vaari Paata features Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. The film is slated to release in January 2022.
