Kalyan Ram turns warrior for Bimbisara
The first look and title of the film directed by Mallidi Vashist was released on late NTR's 98th birthday anniversary
The first look and title of Kalyan Ram's upcoming action fantasy entertainer have been released on his grandfather and late actor NT Ramarao's 98th birth anniversary on Friday.
Directed by debutant Mallidi Vashist, the film has been titled Bimbisara, with the tagline 'a time travel from evil to good'. The first look poster shows Kalyan Ram sitting on a pile of bodies in a warrior king avatar.
Speaking about the progress of the film, the makers said, "The film is replete with visual effects (VFX) and we are not compromising on the quality." says the makers adding, "We have wrapped up significant portions of the film in huge kingdom sets erected in Ramakrishna Studios and we will resume the proceedings after things begin to ease out. In all probability, we will release the film in the second half of this year."
Also featuring Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon as the leading ladies, Bimbisara is being bankrolled by Hari Krishna K under NTR Arts. Chirantan Bhatt, who earlier scored music for films like Kanche, Gautamiputra Satkarni, Jai Simha, and Ruler, has been roped in as the music composer of the film.
