Jr NTR's humble appeal to fans: Stay home, adhere to lockdown guidelines

Actor Jr NTR, who is turning 38 on Thursday, has urged his fans to not celebrate his birthday this year in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. Sharing an update about his health to his fans, NTR, in a note shared on Twitter, wrote, "My dear fans, a big thank you to each and every one of you. I have seen your messages, your videos, and your good wishes. Your prayers have kept me going and I am indebted to you all for this love. I am doing very good and I hope to test negative soon."

As a birthday gift, he asked his fans to stay indoors while adhering to the lockdown guidelines. "Every year, the affection shown by you on the occasion of my birthday is something I truly cherish. But in these challenging times, the biggest gift you can give me is to stay home and follow local lockdown rules," said the actor.

Further, NTR requested his fans to not indulge in any celebration in the midst of all the pain and suffering of people and asked them to stand in solidarity with the medical community and frontline workers. "Our country is at war with COVID-19. Our medical community and frontline workers are waging a selfless and tireless war. Many people have lost their loved ones and livelihoods. This is not a time for celebration. This is a time for showing our solidarity with those in need. Please take care of your family and loved ones. Support each other and extend a helping hand to those in need. When all this is over and the war on COVID-19 is won, we shall celebrate together. Wear a mask. Stay at home."

On the career front, NTR is currently working on Rajamouli's RRR and he is also committed to reuniting with his Janatha Garage director, Koratala Siva, for a pan-India film. While the former is in the last leg of production, the latter will go on floors later this year.
