Lionsgate Films ropes in singer Arlo to develop a TV show

British singer-songwriter and actor Arlo will be developing a television series for Lionsgate Films. According to reports, Arlo will be creating the show in collaboration with writer and director Aki Omoshaybi, whose directorial debut Real premiered at the 63^rd BFI London Film Festival in 2019. 

The show reportedly follows a young man from East London wrestling with the complicated relationship between his working-class background and the music industry, and his travails to make a mark as a musician in a competitive music world.

Lionsgate Films will be producing the show in association with Eleven Films, the production company behind the hit Netflix show, Sex Education.
