Ghajini, Sullan producer Salem Chandrasekharan passes away due to COVID-19

Producer Salem Chandrasekharan, who has bankrolled films like Ghajini, Sabari, February 14 and Sullan, breathed his last today. He succumbed to COVID-19.

Before venturing into film production, Chandrasekharan was a cinema distributor and a theatre owner. He owned a multiplex named ARK complex, which had three screens.

His last production venture was the Bharath-Meera Chopra-starrer Killadi. The film, which was launched in 2006, finally hit theatres in 2015, after facing multiple delays.

Harris Jayaraj, who scored the music for Ghajini, expressed his condolences through a tweet.
