Mahesh Babu to play a RAW agent in SSMB 28?

We had earlier reported that Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas are reuniting for the third time for SSMB 28. Word has it that Mahesh plays a RAW agent in the film.

"Mahesh essays a secret agent and the character will present him in a never-seen-before stylish avatar. The actor is excited about playing this role and is eager to kickstart the proceedings," says a source close to the development.

Also starring Pooja Hegde, SSMB 28 will go on floors in August. The film will be formally launched on May 31 coinciding with veteran actor Krishna's 78th birthday. Produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika & Haasine Creations, the film will have music by SS Thaman.

In the past, Trivikram has showcased Mahesh as an assassin in Athadu and a taxi writer in Khaleja. Although he has previously played a spy in SPYder, this is the first time that Mahesh will be seen as a RAW agent.

Mahesh is currently busy with the second schedule of his upcoming film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, wherein he will be seen as a money lender.
