Ram Charan to play an IAS officer-turned-chief minister in Shankar's film?
Directed by Shankar and produced by Dil Raju, the political thriller will go on floors in July
Ram Charan will next be seen in a political thriller directed by Shankar. Rumour has it that he will be seen essaying the role of a chief minister for the first time in his career in this film, commonly referred to as RC 15.
"The film follows the story of an honest IAS officer who turns against a corrupt chief minister and eventually becomes a powerful political leader. He also takes the responsibility to revive the political system and how he builds a corruption-free state by becoming the youngest chief minister is the crux of RC 15. The film raises pertinent questions about integrity, morals, prejudice, and corruption among political leaders," says a source close to the development.
The film will go on floors in July. Kiara Advani, who earlier shared screen space with Charan in Vinaya Vidheya Rama, is said to be the front-runner to play the female lead in RC 15.
Produced by Dil Raju, RC 15 will be a pan-Indian release in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi in 2022.
