We had previously reported that director Lokesh Kanagaraj is teaming up with Kamal Haasan for Vikram. It's now known that Narain is a part of the project. The actor has previously worked with Lokesh in the director's sophomore project Kaithi

Speaking about the film, Narain says, "Vikram will be an important film in my career. When the film's teaser was released, I had called Lokesh to wish him. That's when he said there's an important role for me in this film as well. I am one of many actors who got into acting after being inspired by Kamal sir, and to work with him in a film is a dream come true."

Vikram was last in the news when it was speculated that Vijay Sethupathi is playing a vital role in the film. Previously, Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil had announced that he will play a crucial role in the film. There was buzz that actor Arjun Das, who shot to fame with Kaithi and featured in Lokesh's Master, will also feature in Vikram. However, there is no confirmation yet about these casting rumours. The film is expected to go on floors soon.
