Steve Carell to headline The Rabbit Factor feature adaptation

Actor Steve Carell is all set to star in Amazon Studios and Mandeville Films' adaptation of the Antti Tuomainen novel The Rabbit Factor.

In the dark-comedy film, Carell will play an insurance mathematician Henri Koskinen, who figures out most of life's answers as he calculates everything down to the very last decimal. Soon, he loses his job and inherits an adventure park from his brother and everything changes. He now has to deal with his peculiar employees, financial problems and troubling criminal loan sharks. Henri also crosses paths with Laura, an artist with a checkered past. As the criminals begin to collect their debts and as Henri’s relationship with Laura deepens, he finds himself faced with situations and emotions that simply cannot be quantified on a spreadsheet.

Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman are producing the film, with  Alex Young serving as executive producer for Mandeville Films. The author and Federico Ambrosini also serve as executive producers on the project.

Meanwhile, Carell just wrapped Season 2 of The Morning Show for Apple TV+. He is currently in production on Season 2 of Space Force for Netflix. The actor is back to voice Gru in Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Notably, author Tuomainen is one of Finland’s most acclaimed and award-winning authors. His works have been translated into more than 25 languages to date.
