Sai Pallavi in talks for Dhanush-Sekhar Kammula's film?

Director Sekhar Kammula has joined hands with actor Dhanush for a trilingual film that is being released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

Buzz is that Sai Pallavi is being considered as the female lead in the film billed to be a political thriller. Interestingly, Pallavi had earlier worked with Dhanush in Maari 2 and also collaborated with Sekhar in films like Fidaa and Love Story.

"Sekhar recently got in touch with Sai Pallavi and has apprised her about the role. The makers were looking to cast an actor who is known for both performance and glamour. They believe that Sai Pallavi will create a lasting impression by portraying this powerful character," says a source close to the development.

Produced by Narayan Das K Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, the yet-to-be-titled film is expected to go on floors later this year.

Sai Pallavi was recently seen in the Netflix anthology film Paava Kadhaigal. Apart from Sekhar's film, she will also be seen in Virata Parvam and Shyam Singha Roy.

Dhanush seems to be on a signing spree. After announcing a film with Sekhar Kammula last week, the grapevine is that Dhanush is teaming up with director Venky Atluri for a pan-India film. Incidentally, the film marks the debut of Venky in Tamil and Hindi and for Dhanush, it is going to be his second trilingual project to be released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, who earlier bankrolled Rang De with Venky, is producing this yet-to-be-titled film under Sithara Entertainments. The film is expected to go on floors in December.
