Jessica Henwick joins the cast of Knives Out 2
Headlined by Daniel Craig, Knives Out 2 also stars Leslie Odom Jr, Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Dave Bautista, and Edward Norton
Actor Jessica Henwick, who recently joined as the lead for the upcoming The Matrix 4, is all set to star in the much-anticipated Knives Out sequel.
The cast of Knives Out 2 is adding more and more actors with the likes of Hollywood A-liters such as Leslie Odom Jr, Kathryn Hahn, Janelle Monáe, Kate Hudson, Madelyn Cline, Dave Bautista, and Edward Norton joining lead actor Daniel Craig.
As of now, there is no information available about Henwick's role in the film. Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed the original, will be returning to helm the Netflix-backed sequel, and the film is expected to follow to yet another murder mystery.
The project is scheduled to go on floors this summer in Greece.
Early this year, Netflix acquired the rights for two sequels of Knives Out with a clause that both the sequels should be anchored by Craig and must have at least the budget of the original.
2019's Knives Out featured a massive ensemble cast including Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, and Christopher Plummer. The film enjoyed both critical and commercial success, with critics hailing it as one of the best murder mysteries to come out in recent times.
Henwick's breakout role came in the form of Netflix and Marvel series Iron Fist. She is all set to star in the upcoming fourth sequel in The Matrix series opposite Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss. The actor is currently filming The Gray Man opposite Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Dhanush.
