KGF stunt directors Anbu-Arivu onboard Kamal Haasan-Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram

Director Lokesh took to his social media handles to announce the development

Anbu-Arivu (a.k.a Anbariv), the stunt directors duo who rose to fame with Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 1, have been roped in to handle the stunt sequences in Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming Kamal Haasan film Vikram.

Director Lokesh took to his social media handles to announce the development.

Notably, this is not the first collaboration between Lokesh and Anbariv. The stunt directors previously choreographed for Lokesh's Karthi-starrer Kaithi

Vikram was last in the news when there were reports of actor Vijay Sethupathi playing a vital role in the film. Previously, Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil had announced that he will play a crucial role in the film. There was buzz that actor Arjun Das, who shot to fame with Kaithi and also featured in Lokesh's Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Master, will also feature in Vikram. However, there is no confirmation yet about these casting rumours.

With music by Anirudh Ravichander, Vikram was initially announced as a summer 2021 release, but the ongoing second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and Kamal's political commitments delayed the production.

Post the TN elections, Lokesh had teased fans by posting a picture with Kamal Haasan in a private jet hinting that the film would go on floors soon. However, due to the lockdown and the subsequent halt in movie shootings in Tamil Nadu, the movie is yet to go on floors.

Meanwhile, Anbarivu were last seen choreographing the stunts for Salman Khan's Radhe. Their upcoming projects include Ravi Teja's Khiladi and Vishnu Vishal's Mohandas. The duo is also rumoured to be a part of Thalapathy 65.
